Does Private Play upload my photos or videos?
No. Your media is stored and encrypted on your iPhone. There is no app account and we do not host your library. Optional NAS and WebDAV connections only download from a server you choose.
Will importing remove the originals from Photos?
No. Photo imports leave the originals in Photos, so you decide what to keep. You can also export vault items back to Photos at any time.
What exactly is a Highlight?
A saved time range inside one of your videos. Private Play remembers where it starts and ends; it does not create or re-encode a separate video file. You can save several Highlights in the same video.
What happens if my plan ends?
Viewing and adding media require active access, but your existing vault items always remain exportable back to Photos.
Can you recover my vault if I lose my iPhone?
No, and that is by design: the keys stay on your device. Keep your own backups of important media. We cannot recover a lost device or a forgotten app passcode.
